This was such a great movie to watch during class. I loved how a man took his video camera the entire length of his hike to document what it is like to walk the trail. The video made me feel like I was there with them, even though I was just sitting in a classroom. Watching the way all of the different people interacted was interesting. There were people from all over the world who all came together to walk a specific trail. It was a nice mixture of cultures. It’s also amazing how people will actually open little mini hotels to host the hikers overnight during their hikes, it gives people a chance to clean up and relax with other people who are all interested in the same thing. I loved how close and friendly everyone seemed to get throughout the hike, like the story of the Canadian man and French woman who met on the trail but everyone thought they had been married for years. I feel like the trail makes people come together as a mini-second family.
