Student Choice I: Wayfaring movie

I'm not always a big fan of these types of movies, but I actually enjoyed watching this one. It was really cool how he carried his camera around with him during the entirety of his pilgrimage and how he casually "interviewed" almost everyone he met. There were people from all over the world and each person had their own specific and unique reason for walking the Camino which I think was the most interesting part of the movie. It definitely reemphasized the concept of communitas that we had learned about in class. From what I could tell, everyone treated each other equally and with respect. All the travelers were friendly to each other even if they had just met. The natives were very hospitable to all the travelers which I thought was really special; that's definitely not something you can find everywhere. The movie as a whole was a really great representation of what traveling the Camino is like and it definitely ties in to the stories we've heard in class. I have say, the best part about this movie is the fact that our professor in it as well. It definitely makes the movie a little more special
