Blog Topic: Nature 1
After being in nature and actually having to pay attention to how nature interacts with humans, I’ve noticed a few things. First of all, plants can show distress physically. They do this by having brown, dead leaves, or having torn up roots, both of which represent the poor health of the plant. For example, there was a tree that’s leaves were changing from green to an orange-ish yellow tone, which people typically find beautiful, but in reality it just shows that the tree is dying with the dropping temperatures.

The one thing that stuck to me, that wasn’t
entirely related to nature, was the statue of the horse and the man trying to
tame the beast. To me this represented how humans have been taking over nature
to build up their societies. I couldn’t help think of how backwards it is.
Nature is important and shouldn’t be destroyed to build some building. These
trees and plants interact with humans, they allow us to survive by supplying
our oxygen. This wasn’t my first time visiting the lions bridge, but it was the
first time I actually stopped to understand nature and the statue.
