Free Write 2
I'm not sure how much this post will relate directly to class but it has been on my mind since I had a conversation about it with a peer. When discussing religious studies, there are dozens of different religions, each with a set of believers. But the question comes to mind: how do you know the one you believe is "right?" I guess that's what faith is. Personally I believe that all people who are religious believe in the same God however he presents himself to people differently to fit their lifestyle and personality. However, after conversation with someone I realized that not everyone feels that way. I came across a very closed minded person who believes that Christianity is the only way and even more specifically protestant branches. They also believe that all people who believe differently will be damned to hell. Hearing this really made me cringe. I can't fathom being a true Christian and being so hateful to others. I think that its important to respect other people belief just as you would want them to respect yours.
