I have never hiked the Appalachian trail but I think it would be a real eye opening experience. I love to travel and hike and see new things so I think hiking this trial could be a real possibility in my future. I think that going through college everyone gets lost, and then towards the end some find themselves. Being here for a semester so far I can tell that I have grown as a person; but also that who I thought I was is not who I want to be anymore. I hope that over these next 4 years I will get the opportunity to ref-ind myself. I think that a way that I can help myself with this is by walking the trial when I graduate. I have heard and read about many stories of hikers feeling complete when they finish the trail. They feel re-centered in their life and have found happiness. I hope that if I get the opportunity to walk the trail that I will get to find this centeredness and happiness that I crave.
