Matthew Arends -- Image and Pilgrimage II
In Christian faith (some denominations more than others) there are many images that are used to depict those whom believers revere as Saints, Apostles, and as God. El Camino de Santiago, the way to saint James, is a pilgrimage that leads to one of these images and Sacred Sites that many Christians all over the world go to see these sites. The body of Saint James is said to be at the end of the Journey and Pilgrims walk from all over the world to see the statues and churches along the way. I would one day, love to embark on this Pilgrimage and encounter these sacred sites for myself. The way to Saint James, would be used by me as it has been used by many others, as a journey of self discovery and discovery of Gods will in my life. For the path I follow is narrow but it is straight.
