Outside Reading #3 The Bible
In a lot of my reading from the Bible, I have put together that Jesus went out to wild places to spend time with his father. After he found out that John the baptist dies, he went out into the wild to commune with his father. After the feeding of the 5000, Jesus went to a mountaintop to commune with his father. During the transfiguration, Jesus went to a mountain top to transform in front of two of his disciples. There has always been a tie between Jesus and the wilderness as he communes with his father. If Jesus had to do this to commune with his father, how much more do we as mere humans need to do the same?
