We've talked about communitas throughout class,
especially in through hikers, but it can also be seen throughout history in
pilgrims. “Once a place has been a focus
of communitas, as we have seen, it is likely to revive after
destruction.”(Turner 176). This has a
powerful message about communitas and how no matter what is thrown at them,
they will work as equals to rebuild whatever the problem may be. It is hard to find this nowadays because of
all the spiritual disconnect, but it’s nice to see there are some people
carrying on this feature of life.
