Outside Reading 2

This reading comes from a journal on trailjournals.com

Each individual’s means of sacred communication is unique to them. Several factors such as religion, tradition, personal preference or more may influence their method of sacred communication. Another factor to consider is who is being communicated with. Not all sacred communication is to a God. Some people communicate to an internal spirit or with nature.  However, a common form of communication with a higher being is prayer. Prayer Walker shares her experience on the Camino de Santiago in a separate journal entry on Thursday, January 16, 2014. She includes a prayer “We ask this through Jesus Christ Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.” Prayer Walker is very open with her faith in her journals. She includes bible verses and personal spiritual experiences and beliefs. Others may not be as open about their beliefs. Their personal preference may be to keep it to themselves.
