Nature 2

Over Thanksgiving break I decided to take a short hike with my boyfriend to a place called Panther Falls. The small waterfall is located near Natural Bridge, VA. I have been to this location before in the Summer time. There is a small trail leading down to two waterfalls each flowing into a separate pool of water. There are two large rocks on either side of the waterfall that people can jump off into the water. This is a tradition I enjoy during the warmer weather. When I visited over break, I was excited to see the difference in scenery from season to season. Every other time I had been before, there was always dozens of people. It was nice to arrive to an empty, serene scenery with no one there except me and my boyfriend. We sat down on the top of the rock over the water fall and just listened to the sound of the water. It was cool to see the change of a place that is usually filled with the cluttered sound of people to the same place as a natural beauty. Just sitting in silence really allowed me to appreciate God's creation and feel closer to him.
