Unfortunately
I could not be with the class when we ventured out to the Noland Trail but I
was able to find some time to sneak out there. It was a pretty warm day and the
sun was doing its job as it shined to life all the beautiful plants and animals
of the forest. I found a spot right near a small pond and decided to sit in
silence for a little and close my eyes. It was in that moment that I really
heard and felt the life of nature around me. I could hear animals wrestling
around and living their daily lives somewhere out in the woods. I heard the
leaves taking flight as they made their way off the trees that they lived a
beautiful life with. I felt the kiss of the wind gently sweep passed me as it
played with my hair. It was a great reminder that life is what you make of it.
So often we become so wound up and stressed out in the market place. So often
we get caught up in the many different dramas that life hands to us. In this
moment all I had to do was to be still and let the Creator remind me of how
simple life could be. I enjoyed that time of silence, it felt as though a new
breath of freshness came upon me and I felt recharged. It is something I
definitely hope to do again and was a great reminder that all life needs to
ever be is a simple breeze in the right direction.
