Student Choice IV- Reflection and the Future

While I am still considering the AT, I think my first hike is going to be on the Camino de Santiago. While I am unsure when, I know I should go on this hike as soon as possible, since I do not want life to get in the way of this incredible opportunity. I am still unsure as to what I should be hiking for, but at this point, I will be hiking for adventure and authenticity. I want to see how I will interact with these hiking "cultures". I want to experience religion without going to church and sitting in a pew. I want to distance myself from the marketplace, but not to the extreme level of the Appalachian Trail, or not yet, at least. I want to learn how to live while being fully present. I want to go out and experience the world in ways that I never have before.
