The
Sacred
I decided to read
the, “Old Man and the Sea”, by Ernest Hemmingway. In this book, the Santiago, this old
fisherman had not caught a fish in 84 days.
Most people would quit, but the open ocean is the old man’s sacred
place. It helps him get away from the
problems he has back in his home and can focus on him and the sea. Everyone has their own sacred place, one as
powerful and moving as the other.
Without a sacred place one is lost spiritually in the world, traveling
until this mere location is discovered.
