The Phenomenology of Prayer I

10/02/14
Praying Priorities
In The Phenomenology of Prayer, it starts off telling us that prayer is very important to have a life of faith.  It helps us connect to the greater being.  Also, it states that most of us do not know how to pray correctly.  In the writings of this book, it states that prayer is the moral and spiritual discipline that will direct us to a sacred dimension.  Most people make requests or ask for forgiveness from God to cast upon us which I am guilty from time to time.  This is believed to be the wrong way of praying in think book.  Also, prayer is meant to private between God and you.  I agree with parts of these reading, but everyone has their own connection through God, whether it is prayer or going to a sacred place, like a trail.  Lastly, I believe everyone had their own special connection with the big guy that can’t be considered wrong.
